We went behind-the-scenes with stunning actress, yogi and adidas ambassador Isabelle Cornish to give you a sneak peek at her new shoot showcasing the adidas Spring/Smmer 2014 collection. From the hair and make-up to the music and snacks here’s what went down on set.

The music

The right tunes are essential to a shoot! To get Isabelle in the mood to move the team put together an eclectic playlist featuring tracks from artists such as Lindstrøm & Christabelle, Holy Ghost, Canyons, Wu Tang Clan and Clips.

The make-up

Hair and make-up artist Nadine Monley was responsible for Isabelle’s fresh and dewy look. “Isabelle has gorgeous skin, so we kept it simple and skipped any foundation,” says Nadine.

“Instead I applied YSL Touche Éclat in Luminous Amber to any redness and unwanted shadows. To recreate that post-workout glow, I used my secret weapon: Goe Oil! It’s 100% natural and made from flower and fruit oils. It absorbs into the skin well but leaves a beautiful sheen. I worked it into Isabelle’s skin, on both her face and on her arms and legs, just using my hands. You can even use it on your hair for shine. We finished with a lick of Chanel lengthening mascara to make her eyes pop and for a slight flush I applied Chanel powder blush in rose glacier.”

Sun protection was also important for the outdoor shots. “My go-to sunscreen is French pharmaceutical brand La Roche-Posay, which melts into the skin and doesn’t leave a white film like a lot of other brands do,” reveals Nadine. “Finally, to recreate Isabelle’s deep glow I recommend a UV-free tan, like my Beauty Department Summer Natural Gradual Tan. It’s packed full of essential oils for smooth skin and builds gradually so you get the perfect shade of summer.”

The hair

Nadine also tended to Isabelle’s tresses on set. “Our inspiration for Isabelle’s hair came the girl that leaves the gym with a slightly messy high bun or braid with a few loose tendrils. Think nonchalant but chic,” explains Nadine.

“To begin with I blow dried with Wella’s Ocean Spritz Sea Salt Spray, which gave her hair a boost and allowed me to change styles throughout the day.  We started the day with a textured ponytail, which I perfected using Hair Bungee, they make life so much easier, and Tigi Bed Head Queen for a Day Thickening Spray.  After a few shots I worked this style into a lose ballerina bun with a few strands pinned out, and eventually we found our way to a simple braided low ponytail. In between styles, I refreshed her hair a spritz of dry shampoo.”
