Nothing says “summer’s almost here!” like a new pair of fabulous sunglasses – or even better – a whole selection of them.
Which is one of the many reasons we love Le Specs here at Sporteluxe – the brand’s super cool designs are fun and fashion-forward, but also affordable enough to make buying three or four pairs at a pop completely do-able! (Because it’s important to switch up your shades to suit your outfit and mood, right!?)
Le Specs has just launched its new 2nd Summer 2015 campaign with a host of super-hot images by photographer Todd Barry, inspired by the revelry of Rio de Janeiro and showcasing the typical bold graphic frames and mirrored lenses now synonymous with the brand.
The high-energy images featuring sun-kissed models sporty salty beach-waved hair and fresh faces are the perfect example of summer-worthy beauty, so we spoke to make-up artist Kellie Stratton for advice on how to style yourself for the sunny season and the best products to buy.
Kellie Stratton’s hot summer hair and make-up tips straight from the Le Specs 2nd Summer 2015 campaign shoot:
Q: How would you describe the look for the Le Specs 2nd Summer Campaign?
“The Look for the Le Specs Summer Campaign was about creating fresh modern beauty. Retaining the natural glow in the skin and enhancing the tone with subtle bronzing was the key to the look. The lips were kept fresh by using a balm then applying a soft flush of peachy tone with your finger so as not to overdo it. The hair was allowed to dry naturally to retain all the texture, then using the product Magic Move around the hairline, I softly pushed the hair away from the face creating a fresh beach glamour vibe.”
Q: Which makeup trends are your favourite for Spring/Summer 2015 beauty?
“My favourite beauty trends for spring summer 2015 are fresh faced flawless glowing faces golden highlights, mixed with soft pastels and golds.”
Q: Of all of the products you have used, which one do you consider most essential for a summer glow?
“Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base was my key product for modern glow.”
