Have a healthy breakfast the morning of your races outing and make smart decisions in the lead up. Nourishing yourself with healthy food loaded with essential vitamins will give you a glowing complexion and ensure you have plenty of energy. Have some healthy hangover foods on hand for the morning after. Think B vitamins, coconut water, healthy proteins and complex carbs.

Pace yourself

No race day is complete without a glass of bubbles or too and you can definitely still have fun and not feel guilty. The trick is to spread your drinks out, sip slowly and be sure to keep hydrated with plenty of water in between each alcoholic drink.

Remember to eat

You’ll want to stock up on healthy snacks to reduce the likelihood of a post-race fast food dash. If you’re not in marquee or members area with healthy options remember to pack a healthy picnic basket to keep you satisfied all day. Plus, you won’t waste valuable time lining up with the other hundreds of people desperate for a bite to eat.
