This feels like you’re having a treat when you’re just having a super-thick, healthy smoothie! You can experiment with all kinds of toppings – macadamia nuts and goji berries work well, or even just a sprinkle of shredded or desiccated coconut.
Lola Berry’s choc mousse smoothie bowl
2 frozen bananas
2 tablespoons cacao powder
2 tablespoons maple syrup or sweetener of your choice
1 teaspoon cacao nibs
1 teaspoon white mulberries
1 teaspoon bee pollen (optional)
- Pop the avocado, banana, cacao powder and maple syrup in the blender and process until super smooth. Pulse a couple of times to make sure you process any last little chunks of avo.
- Combine the topping ingredients in a separate small bowl.
- Pour the smoothie into serving glasses and sprinkle over the topping.
