Find yourself hitting the snooze button since the switch to day light savings? Don’t skip breakfast to make up a few extra minutes. Two new studies have confirmed it’s the most important meal of your day.
US researchers found in a study of 3600 people over 18 years that those who ate breaky gained less weight and had a significantly lower risk of obesity, high blood pressure, metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes, than those who skipped it.
To cap that off, a 12 week study of 60 women who suffered from fertility issues due to Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) found a reduction in symptoms when breakfast was the biggest meal of their day, including reduced testosterone levels, insulin resistance and an increase in ovulation than those who didn’t eat it.
