“I take an Epsom salt bath every night to wind down,” reveals Gwyneth. “I [also] use a lot of organic essential oils on my pressure points.”
Although the name implies otherwise, Epsom salt isn’t salt at all. In fact, it’s actually made of magnesium. Epsom salt is also cheap and seriously easy to get your hands on – we’re talking under five bucks at the supermarket!
Gwyneth isn’t the only celeb who loves Epsom salt baths – Liv Tyler is also a fan too. So what are the benefits of an Epsom salt bath? Well, aside from the inherent luxury of taking time out to have any sort of bath, adding Epsom salts to the water is said to help detoxify your skin, ease stress and soothe sore muscles.
