Renown food, travel and lifestyle photographer Jeremy Simon’s has turned his hand to ceramics and is launching his very first SLIP ceramics exhibition. To be held in the inner city suburb of Alexandria, the exhibit will feature Simons’ bespoke ceramic pieces, which are hand crafted with reused and recyclable resources.
Drawing inspiration from nature, Simons’ designs are one-off, singular, unique with their own character and flaws. Expect an eclectic blend of natural, tactile shapes, combined with intuitive earth toned hues.
“The process of creating with my hands allows for a free, spontaneous and unpredictable outcome to each work. I love the random nature of a pit firing, incorporating sawdust, animal bone, seaweed and ochre into my work, it’s an organic and textural way of working,” says Simon’s.
This exhibition is a rare opportunity to view and purchase Simon’s signature pieces, with prices ranging from $10 – $590. We highly recommend checking it out!
