On-loan Nike trainers, Aesop beauty products and an in-house massage parlour – Nike’s new women’s fitness studio is so much more than a ‘gym’.
A renovated warehouse located in the backstreets of Melbourne’s Fitzroy, Nike’s studio pays homage to the neighbourhood’s industrial past. Think big windows, exposed brick and high ceilings – it is the ideal space for indoor workouts.
Unlike their exclusive New York studio, 45 Grand, Nike’s Melbourne counterpart is a bit more welcoming. It is open to anyone and everyone and although tailored to women, rest assured – men wouldn’t be turned away!
The studio offers seven Nike Training Club sessions per week based on the workouts found on the app, which include HIT, Pilates, dance and TRX. All are 45 minutes and all are free!
“NTC presents a huge variety of workouts for girls looking to shake up their fitness. Having fun whilst training is essential, and training with a group of girls increases the fun factor tenfold!” says Nike trainer Phoebe Di Tommaso.
Along with the group workouts, the studio provides a number of other premium services to make it a true Nike experience. You can learn from the wealth of knowledge and expertise of world-renowned Nike master trainers during personal coaching and nutritional consultations, indulge in a little R&R with their massage and physiotherapy treatments, and even trial the latest products! That’s right, you don’t even need trainers to access this ‘gym’! During your class you can take the latest Nike kicks for a test run (literally) and see how the shoe fits. Not only is it a great way for you to assess if it’s right for you but it allows Nike to hear feedback from the girls.
Alongside all this, one of our favourite details is the feature wall which showcases an “outfit of the week” to inspire your next active buy.
The Nike Training Club is a global community of fierce females driven by self-expression and comradery. The space and it’s trainers are dedicated to creating a strong, motivated and supportive community of girls and women with a passion for fitness.
“It’s amazing to see how strong relationships can grow, just from sweating together,” says Di Tomasso. “I love that part of NTC and I love being able to watch it happen.”
