This Pilates Class Feels Like A Private Session

There are so many things to love about pilates. From improved flexibility, a rock-hard core and Michelle Obama arms, the countless benefits always keep us coming back. But sometimes in a bigger class of 10 to 15 people, it can be hard to get the undivided attention of your instructor. One of the best things about Pilates is that it’s suitable for all ages, shapes, and sizes. We all have different goals, problem areas, and abilities and to get the most out of our workout, a pilates class should reflect that.

That’s why we love Vision Pilates in Kingscliff on the far North coast of NSW. This small, locally-owned pilates studio is about as intimate as it gets. Located in the oceanfront Salt Village complex, the studio is surrounded by heaps of delicious cafes and restaurants (post-sweat brunch, anyone?) Everything about this studio is refreshingly simple, even down to the minimalistic interiors!

What to expect

Vision offers two types of classes: studio and mat. The studio classes have a maximum of four people and are similar to your usual reformer class. There’s also some other cool gizmos to play with, like a trapeze table, combination chair, spine corrector, ladder barrel and freeform board. The mat class is more like a traditional Pilates class and has a maximum of eight people. In this session, you use a Pilates circle, roller, weighted ball and pilates ball.

Our very own Bianca Cheah recently had the chance to try out a class at the studio when visiting her hometown of Kingscliff. Here’s what she had to say:

I love this great little studio! The instructor Vanessa was so lovely and attentive and because the classes are so small, it really feels like you’re having a one on one session! I highly recommend Vision to locals or anyone visiting the area.

What’s not to love about practically getting a private class for the price of a group session? Plus, at $10-$20 for your first session, it’s a lot more affordable than a lot of other studios.

So whether you’re visiting Kingscliff for a beach holiday or are just passing through on your way to Byron Bay, Vision will give you your pilates fix in a friendly, relaxed environment.
