A lot of us don’t get our full eight hours sleep but these tips and tricks will leave you looking bright-eyed in no time.
If eyes are the windows to the soul, then brows are the frames. Professionally groomed brows will not only give the appearance of a face lift but will also make tired eyes look brighter. Once your brow stylist has got the shape right, at-home maintenance is easy. Amy Jean Linnehan, Celebrity Brow Expert and Founder of Amy Jean Eye Couture recommends using a brow powder with an angled brush to fill in any gaps. “Then, set any fly-aways with a clear brow gel,” says Linnehan.
Get your longest-looking lashes with a new treatment called The Lash Lift. Launched in Australia by Linnehan, this is a safe and pain-free perm for your lashes. “It’s hugely popular with clients who don’t like the high-maintenance factor of lash extensions but who still want lashes that look amazingly long and curly,” says Linnehan.
Do you swear by smoky black kohl-lined eyes? Next time, you might want to opt for a white liner (like Benefit Eye Bright) along the lower lash line instead. “The cooler tone will make the whites of your eyes appear instantly brighter,” says Jessica Grumley, Makeup Artist and Co-Founder of Eternal 2 Elegance.
Do you wear reading glasses? Try light eye shadow colours in reflective, metallic tones (like MAC Divine Night Mineralize Eye Shadow in Captivating) as they will draw attention to the natural shape of your peepers.
While yellow concealers are great for targeting sallow skin, the under eye area often has a blue hue to it. Why? Because the skin is so delicate, blood vessels that sit closer to the skin’s surface are more noticeable. “A peach tinted concealer will instantly counteract any blueness,” advises Grumley.
