A day in the life of Nike ambassador Kelly Hetherington

She’s Australia’s Olympics hopeful, currently the ambassador for Nike and now heading to Moscow for the World Championships. Middle distance runner, Kelly Hetherington gives Sporteluxe an inside peek of her life, her love of pizza and being a Nike Ambassador.

Favourite gear to train in:

Nike Bike Pants and Nike 3/4 Capri tights.

What are you listening to on your training playlist:

Aussie Hip Hop: Hilltop Hoods and Blue Juice.

What do you eat on your cheat days?

Every Friday night we have Pizza night. I like to follow the 80/20 ratio. 80% healthy and 20% naughty. Eating this way I find that I don’t binge or overeat. I also train everyday which allows me to eat those little treats that I crave. But my favourites would be coffee scrolls, pancakes and pizza.

What can’t you live without everyday?

My Nike Flyknits. I wear them everyday, they are so comfortable.

Whats your greatest sporting moment?

Just last week when I made the World Championships team for 2013.

Longest distance you have run?

18km in 1 hour and 25 minutes.

What are the perks of being a Nike Ambassador?

Being able to promote women’s fitness and help women achieve their goals.

If you had a one way ticket to go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Croatia or Spain.
