Be inspired by Pantone’s hot new colour trend!

If you’re a design savvy person, you probably would have heard of Pantone. A colour matching system, Pantone is basically the colour bible for designers. Pantone also produce uber cool merchandise such as the mugs, wall art and phone covers. Each year Pantone declares one hue to be their ‘Colour of the Year’. And for 2015 Pantone’s Colour of the Year is called Marsala.

Marsala is best described as shade between burnished maroon and a shallow ruby red. It has a hint of vintage feel about it. Think a worldly elegance.

The colour theory behind maroon, crimsons and wine-like deep reds is that they are soulful, spirited colours. Colours that help you connect with your inner self. So Marsala would be a great colour to surround yourself with when you are in the midst of life changes. Think of it as colour visual inspiration to help you be the best and most authentic version of yourself. This also makes Marsala a perfect hue for the start of a new year!

Want to try the Marsala trend? Take inspiration from these enchanting rooms and feature pieces and embrace Pantone’s colour of 2015!
