On Sunday thousands of runners, including myself, pounded the pavement across the Sydney Harbour Bridge for The Blackmores Sydney Running Festival. Whether running for a cause, a personal best or just enjoying the fun run with friends, we were all treated to the city’s spectacular harbourside views with perfect weather to match.
Blackmores Health and fitness ambassador and Head Coach Michelle Bridges was there to cheer on runners while I decided to tackle the 9km Bridge Run with a group of friends. Although the run was a first for me this year, I clocked a cruisy 59 minutes with my running buddy Amanda Bisk. Minus a fair amount of crowd dodging while busting out a few sneaky instagram stops along the way. Come on who didn’t do this? Needless to say, this years Sydney Running Festival wont be my last. Not only did I actually enjoy myself and all the pre-training along the way, but also so honoured to have been named as one of the Blackmores Health and Fitness Ambassadors for 2014 with Michelle Bridges.
So to sum up, expect to see me at next years Sydney Running Festival for the half marathon. Think I can do it? Join me in the challenge! Registrations are currently open for next years event, so sign up with me here and I’ll see you at next years start line!
