Can Yoga With Weights Tone The Body?

The answer is yes! After countless friends of mine asking about how to tone and lengthen the body without doing the hardcore sweat workouts, I can actually say after experience that yoga with weights is the perfect option. Just like a normal yoga routine, you are given hand weights to add into your workout. Don’t think it’s a walk in the park either as you’ll most likely be waking up the next day very sore, which is a good thing! It’s all about holding that pose a little longer with a weight in your hand. Flow Athletic in Sydney’s east holds a fantastic class with weights called Flow Warrior. The session is aimed at building your core strength while shaping your waist, lifting the butt and burning those unwanted calories! Kate Kendall from Flow Athletic says that “Flow Warrior is a great workout for anyone looking to improve their mobility and flexibility while lengthening your muscles so you don’t end up with bulk”. Ladies I say that’s music to our ears!  “I love teaching the class because it’s a short, snappy work out for the time poor. It really delivers in sculpting & lengthening muscles and when rocked out to good tunes, it’s super fun.” says Kate. So ladies, lets do it!
