We love inspecting gadgets here at Sporteluxe HQ so we’re always on the lookout for the next big thing in luxury wearable tech. We’ve got the goss on three fabulous tech savvy watches which are yet to hit Aussie shores. Expect to see these covetable and seriously clever timepieces on wrists near you soon!
The gang at Intel have partnered with Opening Ceremony to combine fashion and tech into a statement piece of jewellery that’s part bangle and part watch. The name itself says it all: MICA stands for “My Intelligent Communication Accessory”. The bracelet allows you to access everything from text messages and Gmail to GPS, Google and Facebook events. It also doesn’t have to be connected to a smart phone to operate.
The screen sits neatly on the inside of your wrist and can be seen easily. There is also a unique feature called “Time to Travel” which combines GPS with calendar events to estimate the time it will take for you to travel from one place to another. How smart is that? The MICA also comes in two colours, black and white, and is embellished with stones and a snakeskin motif. Safe to say this is so much more than a bangle and we simply can’t wait to test it out when it arrives here!
Self-proclaimed as “the ultimate fitness super watch” and their “most advanced tracker to date”, the Surge is the next big thing for Fitbit and we can understand why! Seriously sexy to look at, it includes all their usual savvy features plus a smart watch with caller ID, text alerts and mobile music control. There are also eight sensors to give you the most advanced fitness tracking, a backlit touch screen making it easy to see at any time of day and up to seven hours of battery life. The Fitbit Surge comes in three colours: black, blue and tangerine so you can go for a classic look or make a style statement. It will be available in stores and online early January 2015.
