Olive oil is jam-packed with Vitamin E and healthy fats, making it superb for hair, skin, and nails. When used as a hair treatment, it works to hydrate brittle ends while strengthening hair to prevent further breakage. Simply pour one to two tablespoons of olive oil on damp hair and massage thoroughly. Let it sit on your hair for 20 minutes and shampoo and condition as usual.
Lifeless hair got you down? Apply coconut oil to dry hair, combing through the hair so the oil is equally dispersed. Leave on for 45 minutes to one hour (or overnight if your locks are really damaged) let the oil soak into your strands. Rinse out to reveal super-soft, shiny-looking strands.
Combine a ripe avocado, as it contains vitamin B, an essential nutrient for hair growth, with one egg, three tablespoons of olive oil and one tablespoon of honey to lock in moisture and boost shine. All you have to do is apply the concoction to the entire head and leave it for about 15 minutes. Then, shampoo and condition. Warning: This mask may get messy so you might want to apply it in the shower or bathtub.
