This week in Wellness Watch we are celebrating the beginning of spring with a month’s worth of healthy events and dates to add to your diary!
International Prostate Cancer Awareness Month
September is International Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. To help raise funds and awareness, we’re being encouraged to hold Big Aussie Barbie. So grab some of your closest friends and family and prepare a healthy alfresco paleo feast in the name of charity! Think grass-fed beef, grilled organic chicken and nourishing salads washed down with kombucha instead of cheap sausages and soft drinks.
R U OK Day?
Are you ok? Three small words that can make such a difference to someone suffering from depression. September 11 is R U OK Day? a national day of awareness and action for mental health. To find out how you can get involved and show some consideration and empathy for others visit www.ruok.org.au
