Based in Sydney?
Head to Kiama
Only two hours drive from Sydney, Kiama boasts pristine beaches and rolling green hills. The spectacular natural scenery will knock your socks off and make you wonder why you don’t take a day trip more often. Spend some time meandering through the town, relaxing on the beach or going for a surf. Be sure to visit Kiama’s famous blowholes and rock pools along the Coastal Walk as well. Then stop by Berry on your way back to check out the historic town and pick up a loaf of organic sourdough bread from Berry Sourdough Café to take home.

Head to the Mornington Peninsula
Whether you want to visit an award-winning winery, play around on a golf course, relax on an idyllic beach or enjoy some shopping, the Mornington Peninsula has it all! It is the perfect day trip for families, friends and couples alike with something to suit everyone. A highlight is the healing mineral waters of the Peninsula Hot Springs, Australia’s first geothermal resort. Visiting the Mornington is also a great excuse to check out Paleo Café, which is located in the heart of town. Head to North Stradbroke Island
North Stradbroke Island is the ultimate beach destination for some fun in the sun. Are you an adrenaline junkie? Straddie Adventures has you covered from sea kayaking to snorkeling and everything in between. If you’re after a more chilled day there are also an array stunning beaches to keep you occupied. Don’t forget to bring your precious pooch along as dogs are allowedoff leash on Home Beach and parts of Flinders Beach. Also, check out the Straddie markets on Sunday 5 October for some local produce and cute knick-knacks.
