This year, our office decided to do Kris Kringle with a twist. We all had to create rather than consume. The gift had no price limit, but it had to be handmade.
The time, effort and love put into a DIY gift reflect how special the person you are creating it for is to you. It is a great way to express your emotions for a loved one, especially if you find it hard to put your emotions into words.
It’s also a great way to unleash your creativity and tap into the playful side of your personality. With the busyness of this time of the year it also a great excuse to take some time out for yourself. The whole creation process is also both rewarding and calming. Making something whether that means painting, creating craft, making music, cooking, sewing or building something is also a great outlet from our day- to-day lives so you may just find you uncover a new hobby in the process.
