How to layer a crop top

When it comes to working a crop, it’s all about layering as temperatures drop. Rhyming aside, we’re taking inspo from the cropped, strapless bustiers seen recently on the runway at J.W Anderson and Marni. It’s a trend that’s become a massive hit both on the street and at the gym. To work the look at your yoga class, try pairing a statement crop top with a loose singlet and tights. Or layer your crop with a white tee and bike shorts. Following it up with a smoothie date? Simply swap your shorts for boyfriend jeans, then add a blazer and you’re good to go. There are heaps of styles to choose from, from crops with crossover necklines to bralettes with skinny straps. Our advice? Look for stretchy, sporty fabric that will transition easily from gym to street (and leave the bustier for evening occasions).
