Fashion Week Report: In the swim

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia has come and gone again and although we’re only in Autumn, we’re already getting excited for next season swimwear. N.L.P Women and Suboo were standouts, featuring sporty and sleek two pieces and futuristic neoprene crop tops. The mostly minimal palette was broken up with splashes of chartreuse and bold geometric patterns, for a strong look that’s practical as well as fashionable.

On the other end of the swimwear spectrum, brands such as We Are Handsome and White Sands went all-out with statement making prints and vibrant colours such as blue, purple and lemon. If you love your bikinis a bit quirky you’ll appreciate We Are Handsome’s fruit inspired-theme, featuring too-cute watermelons and pineapples.

Prefer to cover up? One piece swimsuits were represented strongly across the board, notably on the Talulah runway, with bold cut-outs and vivacious prints. A luxe poolside look also wouldn’t be complete without a Camilla kaftan. The designer stayed true to form with her latest collection, featuring printed silks in exotic tribal patterns.

With styles predicted to fly-out-the-door, we suggest you don’t wait around to snap up your fave swimwear look. N.L.P Women is already available to pre-order at stylerunner
