Sea Buckthorn is the new kid on the block for Superfoods, being hailed the greatest Super-food of 2015. This ancient oil is said to fight the common cold, improve skin issues and improve heart health. Derived from a plant that is grown in the mountains and highlands in China and Russia; the oil is extracted from the flesh of the berries, taken orally as a fluid or capsule, or as a body oil/lotion.

A recent Chinese study revealed that consuming Sea Buckthorn oil orally 3 times a day for six weeks helps to lower cholesterol and improve cardiovascular function in people with heart disease.
