Wanderlust 108 is not your ordinary triathlon. Brought to you by the kind souls from Wanderlust Festival, the world’s kindest triathlon is a day of running, yoga and meditation and is sure to bring out your best. With a 5km run, outdoor yoga and guided meditation, it’s unlike any event you’ve ever done before.
The 5km course (or there abouts) is the definition of a fun run. There are no timers, just a start and finish line so you can run, walk or skip your way through these beautiful gardens. The run will be timed however it’s not about how fast you can make it to the finish line, instead its about how much you enjoy yourself along the way.
This 90 minute outdoor Yoga class is led by local Yogis, as well as the internationally acclaimed, Simon Park who has taught Yoga all over the world. Featuring live music and a number of other surprises, this is one class you can’t afford to miss! Just remember to bring your mat unless you want a mouthful of grass during your chatarungas!
An inspirational talk and 15 minutes of guided meditation is the perfect way to round off the day. Swisse ambassadors and a special guest will inspire you to be your best while 1 Giant Mind founder, Jonni Pollard will lead a mass meditation to help you stress less and let your woes float away in the fresh air.
When you’re not pounding the pavement, doing your best downward dog or mediating until your hearts content, there is plenty of entertainment to keep you occupied. New Zealand’s number one club DJ, Aroha as well as Melbourne’s The Twooks will keep you grooving all day long. All of the above combined with an organic foodcourt to keep that hunger at bay with fresh and healthy fare, a craft marketplace and a series of acroyoga performances make this the ideal way to spend a Saturday.
Wanderlust 108 kicks off on May 16 in Melbourne, with the Brisbane event hot on its heels on May 30.
