Known for her youthful, age-defying complexion, Kim Kardashian has been candid about her love of contouring and even admitted to using Botox injections in the past. But due to her current pregnancy, the reality TV star has been holding off on needles for the time being.
She even lashed out at claims earlier this year when rumours emerged she had been using the synthetic muscle-freezing toxin, “No, I won’t have any Botox injections during my pregnancy, just like the tabloids are claiming. You would have to be really sick to endanger your child like that,” she wrote on Instagram, “Anyone who has been pregnant or gained weight knows your face totally changes! My nose gets bigger, cheeks fuller, and my lips swell up.”
However, according to The Telegraph, Kim has found a temporary natural alternative. She has reportedly bought the American licensing rights for Biotulin, an organic, Botox-like gel, which is a completely pain-free topical treatment. The main ingredient in Biotulin is spilanthol, a local anaesthetic obtained from the extract of the plant acmella oleracea, and claims to smooth wrinkles within an hour without numbing your face or restricting facial expression. Although the immediate smoothing effects only last up to day, the wrinkle-reducing effects are claimed to be cumulative, smoothing the skin with continued use.
This supposedly miracle gel is a budding new trend, with Kate Middleton and Michelle Obama also reportedly fans of the transparent gel.
While we admit this all sounds a bit too good to be true, we’re intrigued. Would you try Biotulin?
