Since moving to Sydney from Melbourne recently, I now teach lots of morning yogis. So at the moment it starts with me teaching a yoga class. I walk there and back, and then I whip up some chia seed porridge for breakfast! Yumbo!
It means being the best version of yourself. Simple! Food is here to nourish you and share with the people you love.
I listen to my body. I trust it. It’s the only body I’ve got so I honour it with fresh air and by eating wholefoods. Lots of nature is also important for me. I love swimming in the ocean. Biophilia is my all-time favourite word and means the healing power of Mother Nature.
I love cooking every single day! One of my favourite things to make is crispy salmon cooked in coconut oil and served with an avo salad.
Coconut oil! it’s the best and has so many uses. I even sneak it into my smoothies and tea!
With yoga, walks and runs.
Raw chocolate! There is a brand called Liefje which makes raw, gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free chocolate. It always hits the spot! I also love the raw epic banoffee pie recipe from my recent book The 20/20 Diet Cookbook. In fact, I love it some much I’m making it for my roommate tomorrow!
I know I’ve mentioned it before but it would have to be coconut oil. It lives not just in my kitchen but also my bathroom. It’s what I use on my skin all the time! I love, love love it!
Well I’m a yoga teacher as well as a nutritionist so I’m going to say yoga, of course! It nourishes the soul, body and mind and is great for dealing with stress and anxiety. It has definably changed my life!
I give myself me time. I get out in nature, whether that’s a beach walk or a forest hike. I also love meditation and yoga. All awesome gifts to myself!
When you come from the heart, anything you create from that space is limitless.
