ICYMI, last month, lululemon launched a new, limited edition collection of ballet-inspired pieces (yes, they’re everything you’d imagine and more).
Co-created with Francesca Hayward, Principal Dancer of The Royal Ballet of London, the collection combines tradition and innovation in its detailing, inspired by the atelier of The Royal Opera House, home of The Royal Ballet.
The collection—which all of a sudden has us interested in taking up dance classes—is made up of 17 unique pieces designed with lululemon’s aesthetic and Francesca’s own personal style in mind, and are crafted using innovative fabrics, including Cashmere Jersey, Merino Wool and Cupro. Each piece is designed to support movement and enhance the female form, with silhouettes evoking the myriad of layers essential to a dancer’s warm-up wardrobe.
Keep scrolling for a few of our favourite styles from the collection (even if you don’t do dancing, they work just as well for yoga, too!).
Offering light support and suited to an A/B cup, the design lines are inspired by vintage corsetry from the collection of The Royal Ballet atelier. This crop features an open back for a flattering fit and wide straps for comfort and ease of movement.
Another vintage-inspired design, these high-rise tights are made to feel like a second skin and offer a luxe, flattering fit for the studio and beyond.
Super soft and luxurious to touch, this drapey jumpsuit offers a relaxed, comfortable fit. Layer over tights and a leotard to and from the studio.
Again, perfect for layering over tights or leotard for a little extra coverage, these drapey shorts are soft and lightweight and feature overlapping side panels for a flattering fit and full range of movement.
The lightweight, technical fabric gives this leotard a barely-there feel, while the open back and skinny straps allow for a flattering and functional fit.
The lululemon x Francesca Hayward of The Royal Ballet Collection is available in select lululemon stores and online.
