Monochrome magic

If there’s one thing never really goes out of style, it is classic black and white. This season’s shows put a fresh twist on this sartorial perennial with Carolina Herrera, BCBG Max Azria and Jenni Kayne all featuring the crisp tonal combo. For a strong take on the trend, amp it up with monochrome prints and contrasting colour blocking. Here, we’ve combined white tights and a white gilet with black high-top kicks and a long sleeve printed top. You could also try layering an oversized white tee under a black bomber jacket, or pairing a white sweatshirt with dark leggings. Prefer a subtler take on the look? Classic stripes all featured on the spring runways and a simple striped black and white long sleeved tee would make a stylish addition to your workout look. And the best part? You can wear it on the weekend by pairing it with boyfriend jeans instead of leggings.
