Reduce your risk of obesity and improve fertility by eating breakfast

Find yourself hitting the snooze button since the switch to day light savings? Don’t skip breakfast to make up a few extra minutes. Two new studies have confirmed it’s the most important meal of your day.

US researchers found in a study of 3600 people over 18 years that those who ate breaky gained less weight and had a significantly lower risk of obesity, high blood pressure, metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes, than those who skipped it.

To cap that off, a 12 week study of 60 women who suffered from fertility issues due to Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) found a reduction in symptoms when breakfast was the biggest meal of their day, including reduced testosterone levels, insulin resistance and an increase in ovulation than those who didn’t eat it. All the more reason to eat eggs and avo!
