It’s true that five-star city hotels aren’t necessarily the easiest places to stay on top of your fitness resolutions – all those buffet breakfasts, trendy cocktail bars and fine dining restaurants, not to mention the mini bar, often derail the best of healthy intentions.
But last week, I found a busy urban hotel with a difference. The Sydney Hilton has created a healthy resolutions staycation package to help visitors become the best version of themselves through a range of eating and fitness programs based right there at the hotel.
Healthy in-room dining recommendations are included as part of the resolutions package – so no more downstairs buffet temptations! You also get access to the Living Well Health Club (which is part of the hotel complex) and all of its qualified trainers.
Given we’re in the middle of running race season, this is the perfect treat for anyone of competing in the next Sydney marathon or City to Surf. Why not, check in before the big day, and soak up valuable rest and fitness advice before the race? Then afterwards, warm down and cool off in the lap pool or rest tired muscles in the steam room or sauna. Or you could just sign up for some pampering to celebrate your achievements.
