Supercharge your day with this smoothie

Super Blend, Aldi

Hands up if your breakfast tends to either happen on the run (hello nut spread!) or be something you can make in a rush, then eat with one hand, without you giving much thought to its nutritional content?

When life gets busy, it gets harder to prioritise looking after our bodies by shopping for fresh food and preparing wholesome meals. The easy solution? Frozen fruit and vegetables, especially when it comes to throwing together a super-quick power smoothie. (Get an at-home smoothie right and it can be the quickest morning nutrient bombs around!)

Clearly we’re not alone in needing quick meal solutions; ALDI has just launched a new product, Super Blend Power Smoothies, packed full of delicious and nutritious pre-chopped fruit and veg, which is ideal for all of us who run short on time or ingredients, and a must-have for every freezer. (In fact, why not stock up on a week’s worth at a time?) Just pop in a blender, add water and blitz, then tip the smoothie back into the cup, place on the lid with straw and you’re ready to head out the door. At the moment, they come in two flavours – Super Booster or Fruit and Veg Blast ($4.99 for a pack of two).

To get you inspired, here’s one of our favourite smoothies in Sporteluxe HQ at the moment. It literally takes 60 seconds to make and everyone in the family will fight you for it!

YOU’LL NEED:

  • 1 cup of coconut water (or most often, a very large splash if you don’t want to bother with measures)
  • 1 Super Blend Power Smoothies – Super Booster Mix (a pre-chopped mix of frozen banana, spinach, orange, carrot, pineapple, strawberries, ginger mix and coconut water – they’re easy to find in the freezer section at ALDI)
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon LSA meal (linseed, sunflower seeds, almond meal)
  • ¼ large avocado (to make it taste creamy)
  • 1 teaspoon of probiotic powder

Literally throw everything in the blender, buzz, pour back into the cup the Super Blend came in, then voila! It’s a must-have for every freezer. Enjoy!

TIP: Extra avocado is ideal if you prefer your smoothies to be a little bit more like a thick shake. Plus you get a healthy oil hit as a bonus

ALDI Super Blend Power Smoothies come in two different flavours – Super Booster and Fruit and Veg Blast – and cost $4.99 for a pack of two.
