The lunge variation supermodels swear by!

Celebrity trainer James Duigan works with the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Lara Stone. We asked him to share his signature supermodel-approved lunge variation. “The Bodyism Disco Lunge is one a fantastic body weight exercise,” says James. “The Disco Lunge is a great toning exercise and big movements burns lots of calories!” Sounds great to us! How to do the Bodyism Disco Lunge

  1. Stand with perfect posture with your palms facing out, both feet facing forwards and hip width apart. Contract your stomach muscles.
  2. Lunge forwards. Your front shin should be straight and perpendicular to the floor with your rear knee at 90 degrees. As you lunge forward throw your thumbs up into the air with straight arms forming a Y. Be careful not to over-arch the lower back
  3. Push off from the heel of the front foot while lowering your arms and returning to the start position. Repeat on the other side.
