Gillian Bell’s cakes are seasonal, fresh and handmade from organic and locally sourced ingredients. She sources eggs, flour, cream and butter straight from a local farmer and even shares in a local herd of Jersey cows, raised on organic pastures, to ensure the best quality dairy for her cakes.
All of Gillian’s cakes are completely bespoke, with recipes developed in consultation with couples so their cake will be as unique and as special as their wedding day.
“To my mind, your wedding cake is the most special cake you are likely to eat in your life so it deserves to be made with all the love, attention and special ingredients the occasion deserves,” explains Gillian.
Combining elegance and charm, her cake designs would make anyone’s heart skip a beat or two. Gillian’s cakes are either ‘naked’ or finished with a light dusting of icing sugar, freshly made soft frostings, butter creams, couverture chocolate ganaches or edible flowers she grows in her garden. And with flavours like raspberry & rose, fig & violet, elderflower & strawberry, lemon & lavender, dark chocolate & cumquat and filled with equally delicious fillings of homemade curds, preserves and organic butter creams, how could you go wrong?!
