While she practically dominated your television screen growing up, our favorite actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict is still taking over the TV world today. After penning not one, but two successful books, she still somehow has the time to wow you on shows like “Family Reunion” and cook her way into your heart on “Tia Mowry at Home”. If worldwide success, a number of honorable accolades, and becoming an author wasn’t enough for her, Tia’s still a mother first. She has responsibilities that motherhood deals her, which she handles with grace, confidence, as well as some tips and tricks she shared with us below.
The former Sister-Sister star knows the challenge of preparing breakfast while juggling the parenthood and a fast-paced career, so she’s agreed to give Sporteluxe her expertise on how to make mornings more manageable. She’s also shared her to-die-for ‘No Bake Honey Oatmeal Energy Bites recipe, one that we’ve not been able to stop recreating. Keep reading below for Tia’s tips and tricks!
1) Prep ahead of time: “I love using the time after I put the kids to bed to prep for the next morning. Even taking 15 minutes to make overnight oats with almond milk, Greek yogurt, honey and blueberries makes my A.M. so much simpler—especially if both Cory and I have to be on set!”
2) No time? Make a smoothie: “Some mornings devolve into organized chaos—we’ve all been there! When I need fuel fast, I love to make a smoothie that comes together in minutes. I combine honey, almond milk, almond butter and my favorite fruits in a blender. It’s a great way to get a delicious and nutritious meal with minimal work.”
3) Pack snacks to go: “As an actor, my schedule can be all over the place—so I’m a big fan of packing breakfast snacks for on-the-go! I love making breakfast bites with oats, honey and almond butter that I can throw in a container for munching while I’m en route to set or on a break between takes.”
4) Keep that pantry organized: “I have two kids and one hungry husband, so the pantry is a frequently-visited place in our home. To ensure that it’s always organized, I take five minutes in the evening to reorganize and make sure that everything is in the right place, as well as take stock of my pantry staple supplies like honey and nut butters. This saves me so much time when I’m scrambling to make breakfast or looking for the right ingredients while cooking or baking.”
As you can see, easy recipes are a key part of Tia’s strategy for making mornings stress free. She gave us the inside scoop on how to make her favorite.
