April, it seems, is the month for new beauty product launches. Right now virtual and bricks-and-mortar shelves are being loaded up with shiny new cosmetics and skin-care for you to try. There are fresh innovations in lipstick: Like a new, long-lasting stain from Winky Lux that won’t budge, even after you eat. Meanwhile one lips-only brand released a yellow lipstick that changes color when it hits your skin.
Urban Decay also released your new favorite eyeshadow palette, while organic and natural brands such as RMS Beauty and Lilah B. are also bringing out the fresh products.
To save you the effort of trawling through Sephora, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite April beauty launches right here. So get your credit card ready, and start scrolling to shop.
Lipstick Queen Mornin’ Sunshine, $25
Lipstick Queen’s lips-only range launched back in 2008, but now they’ve added another item to their lineup: A color-changing lipstick that appears yellow in the tube, but transforms when applied. Once this formula touches your skin it transforms depending on your pH to a besoke, long-lasting coral stain. Ingredients like shea butter and vitamin E make it ultra-nourishing too.
Urban Decay x Basquiat Gold Griot Palette, $39
Urban Decay’s latest collaboration is one of their most creative yet. Inspired by late neo-expressionist artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, known for his iconic graffiti paintings in New York during the ’80s, the new Gold Griot Eyeshadow Palette features eight sleek neutral shades inspired by the work of iconic artist.
Lilah B. Tinted Lip Trio, $92
We’ve got a lot of love for this natural beauty brand, so always have our eye out for their new product launches. They recently released a limited edition lip balm trio set that includes three ultra-wearable new shades at a slightly discounted price. It’s formulated to soothe chapped lips, with ingredients like beeswax soften and moisturize, while lavender essential oil calms the skin.
Winky Lux Double Matte Whip Liquid Lipstick, $13
Winky Lux’s new line of liquid lipsticks are so new, they only just landed online today. The long-lasting formula promises to last all day—and then some. While still maintaining a light, smooth finish, this lipstick line will not budge, leaving your lips stained with color for hours.
RMS Beauty Champagne Rosé Luminizer, $38
This all-natural, certified-organic highlighter melts beautifully into the skin to give your cheekbones, eyes, and brow bones a dewy glow. Unlike RMS Beauty’s existing highlighters, this formula is a pretty, subtle-blush pink shade. It’s made with good-for-you ingredients like coconut oil, beeswax, sunflower seed oil, and rosemary.
Fine Deodorant, $30
If you have been meaning to switch to a natural deodorant, consider this to be a sign. Fine’s new deodorant cream has been met with rave reviews. And although it comes in a small jar, a little goes a long way—and the size means you can carry it around and touch-up when you need it. It’s scented with sweet-smelling lavender and geranium.
Rodial Bee Venom Micro Sting Patches, $136
Rodial’s new treatment pads might be pricey, but they do make some pretty serious promises. Packed with venom-infused hyaluronic acid, the patch delivers the treatment via 350 ‘microneedles’ that don’t hurt, but are designed to help the skin absorb active ingredients. Hyaluronic acid is what’s commonly used in injectable fillers, while bee venom—the other key ingredient—is supposed to have botox-like properties. Together, this powerful patch promises to help with fine lines and other signs of aging.
