Who: Krissy Jones from Sky Ting Yoga
Krissy is a co-founder of SKY TING YOGA, and Nike sponsored yoga trainer. Her teaching philosophy is seeded in 20 years of a dedicated yet varied practice deconstructing form through yoga and dance. Krissy’s method is steeped in geometric alignment principals, pranayama, and Taoist studies, as taught by her mentor Nevine Michaan of Katonah Yoga. Krissy is known for having a lighthearted and lively teaching style with creative sequences set to an eclectic range of music. She has led many yoga teacher training programs, retreats, mentorship programs, and has developed the content of SKY TING’s teacher training program with her business partner Chloe Kernaghan.
1. Navasana with a twist
Great for core stabilization and specifically targets the obliques.
2. Pigeon Pose
Best hip releasing pose. When you’re upright on your fingertips the back leg/psoas releases. When you fold forward, it’s more relaxing and targets the glutes.
3. Flipped Wrist Chaturanga
Great for opening the wrists, especially if you do a lot of computer work. This pose also opens the chest and builds upper body strength!
