Outdoor Voices has long been our go-to activewear brand for workouts and gym-to-office gear. And now, the fan-favorite brand has made the move to running gear, along with a brand new collaboration with Hoka One One.
Tyler Haney, the CEO of Outdoor Voices has been a longtime runner, so it’s no surprise that the company has officially made the move into the running space with the launch of its very first collection time capsule. Released in late April, the collection was first launched with an innovative augmented reality experience that allowed runners to check out the gear itself via an interactive map and route planner.
“Knowing that running is such a leading activity among our community, and one that’s been a huge part of my personal life, I knew it was important to develop a technical capsule designed specifically with the needs of a runner in mind,” she tells Glossy. “And that process started with us asking our customers what they wanted in a running short.”
The OV Trail Shop, which you can download in the App Store, will get you “doing things,” the company announced. “Explore technical product in your favorite outdoor spaces using augmented reality that shows every seam and texture—just as if you were shopping in store,” the app description reads.
And you can do exactly that. With more than 20 different cities nationwide getting the Outdoor Voices treatment, runners are able to hit the running trails and with the use of their app, purchase the gear that’ll help them get to their next checkpoint.
But if you’re not able to hit any of the company’s pre-planned trails, the entire collection is available online and in store. And here’s what you can look forward to:
Ready Set Skort and Short
The lightweight bottoms, which come in both short and skort form give you the coverage you want, without weighing you down. Both bottoms feature a built-in liner that includes pockets for your phone, headphones, and cards, making your on-the-go runs easy and portable.
They both retail for US $65.
Coming in bloom/honeysuckle, scarlet, storm, terracotta, and a classic “night” colorway, the Key Bra is much more than your standard running bra. The fast-drying technology means you won’t be sweat-covered on a long, hot summer run. With medium support, the bra can hold your girls during sprints and marathon-length sessions. But best of all, the $60 piece contains a hidden storage compartment that means you can stash keys and cards for convenience.
The tank and top—which retail at $40 and $45, respectively—are all about breathability and airflow, the company announces. With a lightweight form, and flatlock seams that prevent chafing during the steamiest of runs, the tops are even made with 100 percent recycled polyester, so you can help save the world during your training.
In a collaboration with Hoka One One, Outdoor Voices has launched its very first shoe, so you can be outfitted in OV from head to toe. The Clifton 4 running shoes, which retail for $140, come in mist green, midnight navy, and pale blush colors, and include a cushioned midsole and mesh that’ll let your feet breathe and wick away sweat.
But better yet, the cushion doesn’t mean weight. A size 7 Clifton 4 comes in at just 7.5 ounces, which means your lightweight steps will propel you further without a heavy weight.
