Superstar Selena Gomez was announced as the newest face of Puma back in September, and now, the singer, actress, and serious sneakerhead has revealed her first collection with the company.
The new sleek Phenom training shoe will give you serious #sneakergoals, and for great reason. Coming in peach, beige, and white, the sneakers are the gear of millennial dreams. Just take a look for yourself:
The collection, which was also created with the dancers of the New York City Ballet, includes the high-rise Phenom Satin ($100 US) and the Phenom Low Satin ($90 US).
The company worked with the dancer “to discuss the concept of movement and what a dancer needs to be at their best through long hours of rehearsals,” they announced. “The PUMA En Pointe collection showcases linear elements, wide strapping, and woven details pulled from ballet technique: long lines, dynamic flexibility, and powerful movement.”
The functional yet beautiful sneakers feature linear elements, wide straps and details that have been directly taken from the same lines of ballet.
And as for the company and Selena, the collaboration was a no-brainer.
“Her fearlessness is reflected onto the collection with bold, statement pieces that command attention. Never boring. Never the same. Always on point,” the company announced.
“Being part of the PUMA family is very exciting for me,” Gomez said back in September. “PUMA has changed the game when it comes to the mash-up of athletic wear and fashion. It’s amazing to see this influence on style and culture and I’m excited to be a part of it. I am hoping that we can create something special together. We already have some really cool projects in the works.”
And this new collection certainly delivers.
