Sephora’s New In-Store Facial Literally Vacuums Gunk Out of Your Pores

Sephora is doing its best to keep you inside the beauty mecca as long as possible—as if the aisles of back-to-back skincare products and one-on-one beauty consultations weren’t enough. Now, Sephora’s introducing an on-site, complimentary skincare service so you’ll really never want to leave.

The new spa-grade PERK Hydrating Facial available in Sephora stores uses a tiny, vacuum-like device to literally vacuum all the makeup, dirt, and grime from your pores. As a fun touch for Dr. Pimple Popper junkies, you will actually also be able to see all of the extracted gunk after your treatment. The build-up is sucked out using a vacuum-esque device The activation is a partnership between Sephora and the HydraFacial Company. The experience is tailored to each customer and a Sephora consultant will use the PERK technology to exfoliate, hydrate, and generally glow-up your skin in-store.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Sephora on the next generation of skincare,” said Clint Carnell, The HydraFacial Company’s CEO, in a press release. “The partnership makes on-the-go skincare treatments more accessible than ever. Clients that experience the PERK Hydrating Facial will leave Sephora with an instant glow.”

While you can’t just walk into Sephora to grab your facial for free, it is complimentary with any purchase of $75 or more—which, let’s be honest, once you start testing lipsticks in the cosmetics section, is pretty easy to justify spending in a single shop.
