We’ve seen millennial pink lettuce, home decor products explode onto the scene, and rosé (and rosé vodka) become a summer staple throughout the world, so it’s an indisputable statement that millennial pink is here to stay. Now, it’s also coming in the form of a millennial pink yoga mat that’ll upgrade your flow, now in a beloved hue.
In a collaboration between Adidas and Stella McCartney, we have one of our new favorite pieces for gear for our on-mat workouts.
Labeled as “a training mat made for Pilates, strength training, stretching and bending,” this all-around workout mat will make your entire vinyasa Instagram-ready with its presence.
Retailing for US $60, the lightweight mat includes a carrying string that wraps around the rolled-up mat and prominently features the “Adidas by Stella McCartney” logo on the backside of the mat.
Made from 90 percent PVC and 10 percent polyester, this lightweight-but-sturdy mat gives you the cushioning and thickness that’s necessary for joint relief and lessened stress, but still light enough to be easily transported to and from the studio.
The collaboration, which first kicked off nearly 13 years ago, in 2005, has seen many iterations, but all stay true to both brands’ core philosophies: fitness means fashion.
“It’s mostly being inspired by real women, naturally sexy modern women, so I try to get into their heads and figure out their needs,” Stella McCartney says about the collaboration. “These needs are obviously very different when it comes to sports performance, but I try to use the normal inspirations that I look at… film, music, everyday life really.”
And certainly, everyday life has shown us what we’ve known for years now: millennial pink is a colorway that has made a serious splash on the fashion scene, and there’s no doubt that it’s rightfully made its way to our workouts, as well.
