It seems like these days even laying on the beach is a task–always reaching to make sure you are not flashing the rest of the beach goers with a slight slip of your bathing suit. Do any sort of physical activity and you just know you’re going to be spending half the time re-adjusting.
This week, Lululemon launched their new swimwear collaboration, Will the Wave, with pro surfer and elite ambassador, Malia Manuel. Besides being an advocate for all things health and wellness, Malia’s surfing career has been anything but ordinary. In 2008, and at the age of 14, she became the youngest male or female to win the US Open for surfing–and her success has only rocketed since.
Lululemon is already well known for their luxe-feeling, durable fabrics and technical design that keeps in mind the activity it is created for. The Will the Wave swim collection is just another example of their ability to give us a product that we know is functional while still looking sporty and feminine. If you are doing anything other than just laying on the beach, this one’s for you. Designed to actually stay in place while you’re doing the activities that you love; A little more focusing on what you’re doing and a little less on what you’re wearing.
Each piece in this collection is designed to address any worry you might have when it comes to being active in a bathing suit.
Created with a comfortable four-way stretch fabric with no-fuss bonded seams to keep the suit lying flat on the skin. This helps to keep the suit in place during activity but also gives it a ‘second skin’ feeling–perfect to wear under shorts or a wetsuit.
The suits are made with UV protection. We all know that suncare is important, so it’s nice to know that in addition to your SPF, you will have an extra layer of protection from the sun. The Xtra Life Lycra layer adds chlorine and saltwater resistance.
