L.A. locals know—California has been in a serious drought for the past five years. Things got so bad in the last year that cities imposed sanctions on water use, and started enforcing fines for people who wasted water. The Golden State was starting to look pretty brown … Until a few weeks ago, when a series of massive storms landed throughout the state. The rain was so epic—and lasted for so long—that the U.S. Drought Monitor reported that nearly 42 percent of California is no longer considered in drought.
And the best news? The crazy weather meant epic amounts of snow were dumped on California’s gorgeous Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Snowbunnies everywhere—rejoice! It’s time to put the chains on the tires and road trip up to the slopes for a ski weekend. You can bundle up (and still look hot) when you grab the right activewear. Here’s how our own Bianca Cheah rocked the snowpack.
