Wake up your wellness

In my opinion mornings are the most important time of the day when it comes to your wellness and fitness. On Saturday we co-hosted a training session with rebelFIT in Balmain for Sporteluxe readers and rebel customers. The weather was a little gloomy outside but that didn’t stop everyone coming along to get their sweat on and getting their weekends off to a great start. Filmmaker Sam Evans has made an awesome video of all the action from the day for us which we’ll be revealing on Sporteluxe this week so make sure you look out for it.

For me, my favourite way to start my day is with 20 minutes of Vedic meditation. Getting up a little earlier to devote that time to ground myself before the craziness of the day kicks in is one of the best things I can do for my wellness. After that I like to make myself a smoothie packed with all kinds of superfoods and clean protein powder to give my body a huge burst of nutrients.

On mornings when I don’t have to be in the office super early I’ll make this a smoothie to go and drink it after my morning workout. I like to head to The Zone Fitness First’s dynamic movement club in Sydney’s CBD for small group training classes, HIIT being my absolute fave. It’s hands down the best gym class I’ve come across to get my blood pumping, endorphins flowing and brain firing for the day. Everything you want from a morning workout!
