Wanderlust Festival returns to Sydney!

Listen up Sydney-based yoga and music lovers. The much-anticipated Wanderlust Festival is back in Sydney for a second year with a super cool new location on Cockatoo Island. It’s taking place 20-22 February so it’s time to get organised so you don’t miss out on any of the amazing events that are happening over the three days. With heaps of talks, music acts and yoga sessions to choose from, we’ve rounded up some of our fave must-do activities.

Friday 20 February

Bliss Paddle Yoga, 12pm (plus 10am and 12pm on Saturday and 10am on Sunday)

If you haven’t ever been for a paddleboarding or paddle yoga session, this is the class for you! This hour and a half class will slowly take you from the land to the water and help connect your body with your breath and the beautiful environment.

How to be the healthiest, best version of you workshops with Lola Berry, 4.30pm

The lovely Lola Berry will be leading this inspiring workshop. Places are filling fast so get in quick! She’s also giving a talk about Living Your Dhama on Saturday morning.

Earth to Table Dinner, 7.30pm

Set against a backdrop of Cockatoo Island’s best views, this vegan dinner is crafted by Egg of the Universe and sourced from the freshest local ingredients. Tickets for the dinner cost $165 and can be purchased here.

The Wanderlust Spectacular, 8pm

With circus theatre, dance, music and everything in between, the Wanderlust Spectacular is an event you can’t afford to miss!

Saturday 21 February

The Space Between, 8am

We think this yoga class with Kate Kendall is the perfect way to start a Saturday at Wanderlust! The slow flowing, yet challenging sequence will help you explore the joy of yoga and the wisdom that can be found in each breath.

The Meditation Myth, 12pm

This light-hearted discussion will get you thinking about the common misconceptions of meditation and will help you bust through those myths to access your inner peace.

Superflow Surf Inspired Yoga, 2pm

Set to music, Superflow yoga is very complimentary to Yoga as we know it, drawing inspiration from yoga, ancient martial arts, dance, surfing, ski and snowboard manoeuvres. Sounds like a super workout that we can’t wait to try!

Sea to Table Dinner, 7.30pm

Another delicious dinner crafted by guys from Egg of the Universe to nourish your body after a long day of yoga, meditation and everything in between! Tickets for the dinner cost $165 and can be purchased here.

Sunday 22 February

Sunday Sunrise Sadhana, 6.30am

It is believed that morning is the perfect time to immerse yourself into your sadhana – your spiritual practice. Enjoy a silent stroll around the island followed by meditation, movement and reciting mantra to set up your best intentions for the day.

Discovering Happiness, 7.30am

Founder of The Stillness Project, Tom Cronin will bring you stories about how meditation can help you dissolve stress to carve your path to sustained happiness. This group-guided meditation class will leave you feeling lighter, calmer and inspired.

Partner Yoga (with a touch of Tantra), 2pm

Yoga’s often more fun with a partner! You’ll learn to connect in new ways, stretch further than usual and balance in ways you would not be able to on your own.
