How do you start your day?
I try not to be too rigid about with this. Instead, I listen to my body. My days usually start something like this:
- 5:45 am Slowly wake up, wash my face, brush my teeth, and drink a massive glass of warm water with apple cider vinegar.
- 6 to 6:30am Yoga time in my lounge room.
- 6:30 to 7am Meditation and some journaling.
- 7 to 8 am Make a smoothie for breakfast while spending time my darling husband. Sometimes, we have music playing and may have a little dance off in the kitchen. On the weeks when I have my stepson, Leo, this is the time when I wake him up with loads of kisses. Then get him dressed for school, make his breakfast and lunch and kiss him as many times as I possibly can!
What does being healthy mean to you?
It means everything to me. When I am feeling healthy, I can show up to the world as the best version of me. It allows me to be the full me and not the cranky version of me.
How do you nourish your body?
Everything I do is done to nourish my temple. I always have my health as my highest priority and at the top of my to-do list. The tangible things I do include moving my body lovingly each day, eating organic food, drinking filtered water, getting eight hours of juicy sleep each night, meditating twice a day, spending loads of time with Mother Nature and seeking support from body work experts.
Do you cook? If so what’s your signature healthy dish?
Hell yeah, baby! I hardly ever eat out. My organic, slow-cooked lamb is a winner. Or my kale chips. I also do a mean quinoa salad!
Any health secrets you swear by?
Meditation! It adds years to your life. I practice Transcendental meditation, which involves meditating for 20 minutes twice a day. It is the best way for me to de-stress.
How do you move your body?
It changes all the time because I tune in to what my body feels like doing. Lately, I have been doing some gentle yoga at home every morning.
What’s your fave healthy indulgence?
Raw cacao anything!
Any natural beauty secrets?
Coconut oil as a moisturiser for your face and body. I also use it as a makeup remover. It works wonders!
How do you motivate yourself if you’re ever feeling flat and uninspired? Any advice for readers?
I always allow myself to feel whatever it is I am feeling. If that is flat and uninspired then I will let myself feel it. Once we have fully felt a feeling it will wash over us like a wave. Usually what follows is a wave of inspiration.
