We’re not sure if it’s the super cool campaign vibe, fabulously tousled locks on the amazingly toned model, edgy backdrop, or utterly fabulous clothes we’re desperate to add to our workout wardrobes – but we can’t stop looking at these shots of Vie Active’s Holiday 2015 Collection. (Confession: it’s a combination of all the above, but especially the latter!)
The luxe fitness fashion company, founded by Australian Noa Ries – a former media executive-turned-personal trainer and writer – who moved with her family from Bondi to Los Angeles as her brand went global, is fast gathering momentum in the states and is now stocked at Equinox and regularly spotted on savvy celebs and fitness stars.
Although past collections have featured some fabulous patterns and edgy colours, we love the elegant neutral tones in this beautiful new collection, which is based on soft graphite, lovely blues and chic nude tones with navy accents – all a perfect and universally flattering alternative to harsh black exercise gear, especially in the hotter months.
Typical of Vie Active, the pieces are as functional and comfortable as they are fabulous to look at. Each piece, we’re told, is designed to handle the toughest workout, with plenty of technical elements too. The seams are positioned to be in the most figure-flattering places and cutaways give your body breathing space. Honestly, this brand’s sports bras are literally the most comfortable we’ve ever tried!
This new collection is the perfect blend of strong and feminine at the same time – which is pretty much how most healthy women want to feel, right? Even the name of the collection – Holiday – has happy connotations!
“Vie Active’s key point of differentiation has always been the fusion of performance and style,” says Noa, who recently joined Sporteluxe as an expert contributor. “We create clothes that are first and foremost designed with a tough workout in mind, but we are also obsessive with regards to how the product feels and makes a woman look… This is an authentic labour of love!”
While the collection doesn’t drop until November, we’ve got a bunch of these pieces on our summer wish-list for when it does!
So… make a note in your diary and check out the Vie Active site for your nearest stockist or hit the online store with a vengeance come the first day of southern hemisphere summer!
