Your next swimsuit could be made out of limestone

Swimsuit season is in full swing and we’re predicting plenty of poolside hangs, weekend SUP adventures, and revitalising getaways. That being said, you’ll need the right swimsuit to take full advantage of the warm weather. Enter eco-friendly swimwear label Abysse.

Founded and designed by Tahiti-born model and former pro surfer Hanalei Reponty, the wetsuit collection is made of Japanese geoprene, a limestone-based material that requires less processing than the typical neoprene suit, therefore leaving less of an impact on the environment. Combined with streamlined silhouettes and modern hues, the range is a must-have for any active beach babe.

This new photo shoot encapsulates the brand’s philosophy of fusing function and fashion and features the leggy blonde herself modelling the swoon-worthy suits.

” We have been friends with the family for quite a while through our French/Tahitian connection. We have a kindred spirit for the love of surfing and a true passion for the  ocean. Not only she is a gorgeous girl, she surfs and used to be a pro surfer, but now she has designed a line of eco friendly super sexy wetsuits for girls. We didn’t use any propping or accessories in the shoot , just kept it simple with the focus on her and using the ocean as the perfect  backdrop for her natural beauty,” says photographer Graham Shearer on working with Hanalei.
